2025 Speak Out for Headache Health

For decades, migraine and other headache disorders have been underrepresented in the media, despite affecting millions of Americans and ranking among the leading causes of disability worldwide. The National Mall Installation was a historic moment—the first large-scale public display in Washington, D.C. dedicated to raising awareness and advocating for better policies for the headache disorders community.

This is a story that needs to be told—one of invisible suffering, systemic barriers, and a community that refuses to be ignored any longer.

We are also pleased to announce that Actress and Migraine Patient Bellamy Young attended and spoke at the Speak Out for Headache Health Press Conference, and Singer and Migraine Patient Shelby Blondell performed.

● Location: National Mall, Washington, D.C. between 3rd and 4th Street
● What: The official opening of the National Mall Installation, featuring advocates, medical
experts, Members of Congress, and public figures speaking on the urgent need for action on headache disorders.
● Speakers to Include:
– Julienne Verdi, Executive Director of the Alliance for Headache Disorders Advocacy & The Headache Alliance
– Dr. Barbara Nye, Board-Certified Neurologist, UCNS Board Certified Headache subspecialist
– Jaime Sanders, Migraine Patient Advocate
– Bellamy Young, Actress & Migraine Advocate
